I can't connect Dell XPS L322x to my bluetooth speakers? On windows 10

From the last month I am playing music via Bluetooth and there is no problem at my side. I am using this speaker model and that is connected via Bluetooth. Something might be wrong on your side. I recommend you to check this article from Microsoft that might help you to sort out this problem.

If the problem occurs again then try to connect any other speakers via Bluetooth. Maybe something went wrong with your speakers.

Yup: I am using the same Dell laptop model.

Hi, I have new Inspiron 5551 , it was okay for 2 or 3 months then I got on Ubuntu that left input speaker isn't work , when I made test for sound after I found change

I went to dell's site and tried to make diagnostic but not available for Ubuntu , so I tried windows 8.1 and installed all drivers then I tested the sound it said left and right are good but at me no voice from the left port for the speaker , also it can't run output speaker ,

then I made diagnostic on dell site it said left and right are okay as windows but the same thing , just right is working from it's port , the left speaker haven't any voice from it's port

* also the output speaker just can work with Ubuntu and just one that give voice the left output also isn't work

* the headphone is okay , the left and right are okay on Ubuntu and Microsoft windows

* Laptop is Dell Inspiron 5551, run just 3 or 4 months , OS Ubuntu 14.4 at first , now Microsoft windows 8.1 and it just for try not activated , the audio driver installed, the output speakers F&D t-2169 30hz-18khz are good on normal PC , the headphone Creative WA-2 okay left and right.

I want to know the reason and if I can fix it or must go to Warranty.

Thank you

Inspiron 5567 microphone problem

Hello,

I just bought this laptop a couple of weeks ago and today was the first time I tried to have a skype call, unfortunately without success. My microphone didn't seem to be working properly so I checked with the voice recorder too, plus the sound devices manager (no green lines showing when I speak) and even though it mentions that the device is working properly, in fact it's not. I reinstalled the drivers from the dell 5567 support site, using both available links but nothing seems to be working. I plugged in a head-set with an installed microphone and when I plug it in, I get a pop-up window asking me to indicate what kind of device I just plugged-in. If I chose microphone, then I can hear my voice if I speak through the headphones but not the microphone, which doesn't look very normal either.

Any help? :/

Many thanks in advance!

laptop to TV no sound through TV speakers

Lately, when I connect my Dell 5559 laptop to my TV using an HDMI cable  no sound comes from the tv speakers. This is a recent development ; the first few times the connection worked, with sound coming through the tv  and controllable by the  tv remote.

The only thing I recall doing one day was using headphones to listen while viewing a streamed tv show. I do not know if that caused the problem.

When I click on the sound icon on the taskbar and see  playback devices all I see active is Speakers and Headphones as the default device. There is nothing like " Use HDMI for Playback or Palyback input." I have checked through the ControlPanel/ sounds and there is nothing to show an HDMI sounds option.

The laptop speakers are fine. The headphones work. I have searched the forum and the web for information but I cannot find a specific answer to my problem.

Please help. Thanks to all .

Crosstalk, audio right and left channels

I have an XPS 13 laptop (9350).  I need distinct right and left channel audio for a research study.

I have a timing trigger tone on only the right channel.  When I play the output through headphones, I hear the tone on both the right and left channels.

Is there a solution to this problem, or is a "feature" of the laptop?

I've reinstalled the drivers multiple times and still haven't been able to solve this problem, I would appreciate it if anyone has found a fix to this problem. I have also ensured that realtek audio manager is enabled in task manager.

XPS 13 9360 - "Waves MaxxAudio Service Application" consuming 30% of CPU while on Internal Speakers

$

I have the latest BIOS (1.2.3) and audio driver update (7989) and am having this problem. Not sure why. I can end the Service Application and the CPU consumption stops, but this makes it such that the Waves MaxxAudio software can't detect a headphone being plugged in.

The huge CPU consumption only occurs when I'm using the internal speakers. No problem with CPU consumption if the headphone jack is used normally.

EDIT: I found one way to trigger the problem. USB audio is causing the problem. I can reinstall all the DELL audio drivers and it would work well until I plug in the first USB audio device. Then it starts messing up whenever I use the internal speakers regardless of whether or not I have a USB audio device plugged in. My headphones can't be detected at all after this.

Yet Another Person with a Headset Issue... (Inspiron 17 7779)

OK so, here goes... because nobody's solutions ever worked for them or were relevant.

Just bought this Inspiron 17 7779 2-in-1 today. Like everyone else, it has a combo jack (4 pole), etc etc etc. and yes, my heaphones do have a 4-pole plug.

Unlike others: mine came with Windows 10, it does NOT have Dell Audio/Dell Audio Manager. It does have the Realtek Audio Drivers and yes, they are up to date (I even double checked). It also has "MaxxAudioPro".

I have the Samsung headphone/earbud stuff that came with my Galaxy S5. I tried these because, well it's all I have. I plug them in and a popup comes up:

No matter which option I select (headphones, headset, mic in), the headphones work in stereo and don't play through the laptop's speakers (an issue some had, I don't), but the microphone does not work at all.

One thread had suggested that it could be that the poles are wrong, so I decided to look on the Dell website to see if maybe there were some like what I have that are compatible. Found this listed: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&sku=520-aaim, which says: "Windows & Android Compatible - Dell recommends Dell Audio software to maximize the listening experience in Windows".

OK then, my Android compatible headset earbud/microphone should also be compatible here, right?

But wait, I look at product compatibility for those and it has four Inspiron series listed, none of which are mine.

So what's the deal? From all the hours of reading I did, I don't think a single person had a real solution. One guy that had asked on a forum said "never mind, figured it out, had to enable it in Dell Audio options"... a thing that doesn't exist on my laptop.

So what's going on with this? Literally every other device ever (outside of Apple, no comment there) has had no issues with compatibility with these types of earbud/microphone combo things.

One person on another thread or forum suggested to another one of the billion people with this issue, that even though the jack and the headphones were both 4 pole, that they may not have the same pole configuration, and that could be an issue.

In which case, I don't want to spend money buying another pair of earbud/microphone headset type things if they're not going to work.

I need a definite, clear solution.

Audio drivers not working properly on Latitude E5430 with Windows 10

Hello, in our company we have many Latitudes E5430/E5530.

Recently we upgraded or clean installed most of them to Windows 10. However, there is quite an issue regarding audio.

The problem is quite simple. When default Microsoft generic audio driver from Windows Update is used, speakers are working and headphones in combo jack too. Problem is, there is no microphone, it wont come up neither the built-in one in laptop nor the combo jack.

In order to get microphone working users must use USB soundcard OR use IDT driver from Dell, which is dated back to 2013 and has different issues. While microphone is working both from jack and the onboard one, speakers are not working at all, sounds goes out only through jack. This is problem since some users want to use the speakers sometimes.

It would be nice if Dell or IDT published working audio drivers for these machines, since they are still supported. In Windows 7/8 and 8.1 everything worked fine except sometimes issue with O2 micro SD card controller.

Downgrading to older Windows is not an option, since we need to test some software under Windows 10 simply because our customers are using it too and Windows 10 are in some aspects better than older versions.

The screenshots are showing versions of MS driver and latest IDT driver for Windows 8, since on Dell support site there is no audio driver for Windows 10, its refered that the one from Windows Update is fine, but in reality it is not.

We have these issues only on Latitudes E5430/E5530 so far.

Basically its this:

Windows Generic Audio Driver:

- speakers and headphones are working + the detection on jack is working

- microphone is not present at all, its disconnected all the time

IDT driver:

- headphones are working only with combo jack

- speakers are not working

- microphone is working

Latitude E6230 - unable to perform windows updates

I have a Latitude E6230 running Win 7 Pro 64 bit that I purchased recently (used machine). The previous owner re-installed Win 7 and MS Office 2013 but reported that the OS will not update to Service pack 1.   I connected to the Dell website and carried out the full connected machine scan and uploaded the latest drivers and Bios.   All checked out OK but  I still get error code Oxc8000247 and cannot update Win7 with updates or SP1.  I am now at a loss on what to try next, I am a bit reluctant to re-format the drive and start from scratch as I do not possess the MS Office 2013 CD to re-load it.

Any ideas?

Thanks - Ian

Audio echo

I got a new dell Inspiron 17 7000 with Windows 10. And when using headsets I get echoes from the audio and it's unbearable to listen to. It's the waves maxxaudio pro that does it. But it won't let me turn off the dimensional surround sound it just turns its self on. I have tried everything but only setting my headset as external speakers lets me turn it off. But then I can't use my mic on my headset.

On my old computer it had this problem but all I had to do was go to dell audio and disable waves maxxaudio but this computer doesn't have that. Please help.

Headphones not working - Inspiron 13 5378 2in1

Good morning,

on my Inspiron I'd say 80% of the times the headphones don't work: I plug them in and the sound still comes out of the speakers. I can't select them either, because when I check playback devices I have only one listed as "Speaker/Headphones", and I of course can't disable it.

At the beginning I used to see a MaxxAudioPro pop-up whenever I plugged the headphones in, but then it stopped appearing; I tried to delete and reinstall drivers, install the ones on Dell website, install the default windows one... Nothing seems to work.

Help? Thanks!

interesting reading these blogs as there is clearly an endemic fault within th laptop.

My laptop arrived March 2016 and the noise was immediate and irritating and diagnosed by Dell as speaker problem. Dell visited and replaced speakers. no improvement. 2nd attempt caused visit and replacement of MB. again no change. 3rd discussion when I asked for a refund, an admission that problem was being "worked on". I like Dell and have bought all their kit over the years for my offices. this XPS was prototype to replace my roving staff's laptops but here we start 2017 and the problem still exists. a couple more months and then I can Dell kit.

Dell: over to you- and quickly please.

Dell N5110  Windows 7 Premium

Has SRS Premium Surround Sound.  Song will be playing and all of a sudden volume will go way down and then back up in a few seconds and down again.  Also seems like a little bit of an echo sound.  This has just started.

This only affects music on my computer as I can go to youtube and pull up the identical song and listen with no problems.

Computer has less than 20 hours on it and is basically a new computer as far as use.

Thanks in advance for any advice!!

Can Anyone Help Fix an Headphone Mic Issue On Windows 10 Laptop?

Hello,

Before I continue, I'd like to say I did not upgrade to Windows 10. I bought my laptop not even a year-ago from Best Buy with Windows 10 already installed.

A little background, I've been using my "Skullcandy Ink'd Earbud with Mic" to talk with people on both Skype and Discord using my laptop. I've had these earbuds for more than three-months and I've never had an issue with them until today. Suddenly people can't hear me, but I can hear them while my sound remains perfectly intact.

I thought maybe my earbuds were broken so I tried them with three different devices, but the Mic still worked just fine. Afterwards I updated my Sound Drivers thinking that might be the issue. Yet, even after updating the problem wasn't fixed.

I'm really confused as to why I can't be heard through the Mic when I plug the earbuds into my laptop. Especially, when it was working not to long ago.

Has anyone else experienced this? I really need help.

P.S. I used the earbuds/mic three days ago an they worked fine. The next day the mic couldn't be picked up, also it only has one plug.

Dell Inspiron 15: Headphones not working, sound comes through speakers when plugged in

It's as if it doesn't detect the headphones. It says my Realtek audio driver is up-to-date. When I go to manage audio devices, there's only one device listed called "Speakers / Headphones", so I don't know if when I plug my headphones in it's supposed to detect it separately. I've tried multiple headphones, all of which work with other devices. Also, there are two drivers listed under "sound, video, and game controllers". One is Realtek Audio and the other is Intel(R) Display Audio. Should I reinstall them both? This is a new laptop that I got to replace my old laptop which had (different) sound problems, so I'm very frustrated and at my wit's end, help is appreciated, thank you.

Paired bluetooth headphones no sound.

Hello,

My dell m4600 can't  connect with bluetooth headsets.  I have tried connecting it with two different headsets with no success. Computer pairs with headsets but playing music is impossible.  Playback devices in sound section of control panel are disconnected, trying to connect with them is impossible. When I click on ''play music'' in device and printer section, link doesn't react.

I spent entire night updating all drivers for the computer however something is still not alright. After updating everything that was possible the device manager left me with an unknown bluetooth peripheral device. I upgraded drivers from Intel and Broadcomm and latest available version of driver for Dell 350.

Hardware ID: points out towards broadcomm however I have no idea what's up. i installed it  3 times by now
