Inspiron 5368 Fading Volume

0
0

I have bought an Inspiron 5368 last August 2016. It was working fine. However, yesterday the Speaker Volume suddenly fades and becomes very quiet when listening to audio.

It is very annoying. I have to restart the laptop to make it loud again. Even with a restart the sound fades again once I start playing audio.

I have tried solutions in the FAQ: en.community.dell.com/.../19994938

but none proved a solution.

Is there not a concrete fix for this? This is not good.

Inspiron 15 7569 loses sound when USB and HDMI ports are used

If I use both USB ports and the HDMI port at the same time I lose sound from the laptop. Neither of the USB ports are connected to headphones or external speakers. Is this to be expected or is there a setting I need to change?

Thanks

Cannot play 5.1 surround sound over HDMI

Hi,

my laptop is dell 15-7569. It has Intel Graphics 520 graphics card and realtek audio chip. I also have a Vizio 5.1 sound bar connecting to my dell laptop over HDMI cable.

laptop -> HDMI cable -> vizio sb4051-C0

I can play stereo sound over HDMI to the sound bar, but cannot play 5.1 surround sound.

In control pannel -> hardware and sound -> sound -> playback -> intel display audio -> configure, I can only see "stereo", but no "5.1" available.

I have installed the latest Intel Graphics 520 driver.

Can anyone help me play 5.1 sound over HDMI? Thanks.

Does Inspiron 15-7569 supports 5.1 surround sound output over HDMI?

I have a DELL laptop, model is Inspiron 15-7569. I have updated all drivers (BIOS, Intel Graphics 520 driver, Realtek driver, etc) using the tool "DELL update", which is shipped with the laptop.

My Speaker is Vizio SB4051-C0. I used "speaker test" function on its remote, and I can hear all 5 speakers and the subwoofer working correctly.

But when I connected the laptop and vizio speaker via HDMI cable, and then played a youtube video called "5.1 Dolby Surround Test", I found that the two rear speakers and subwoffer not working. Does this mean my laptop does not support 5.1 channel over HDMI? If yes, then can I buy an external USB audio interface? I found a cheap one in ebay called "Behringer UCA202 Audio Interface". It has optical output but no HDMI output. Although my vizio speaker supports optical input, the user manual states that HDMI has better voice quality than optical.

Thanks a lot for help!

Inspiron 5368 - changing resolution restart problem

I have Inspiron 5368 and whenever I change my display resolution options, my laptop starts to logoff and restarts the whole system after I click apply to any display resolution option. However, I am using windows 7 a copy of my own because I don't like windows 10 and a friend of mine said that could be maybe of the drivers not installed or any sort of issue regarding the drivers but I don't think so.

Any suggestions why this happens please ?

Thanks and regards,

Realtek HD Audio Manager window popup

I have a Dell Inspiron 7352 running with Windows 10. I purchased this laptop September 2015. As provided in the image, this Realtek HD Audio Manager popup window keeps appearing telling me that I've plugged and unplugged a device from the audio jack even though I don't. This has been going on for a few months now. Last month, I went to the Microsoft store to fix it for me and they updated some drivers from the Dell website. The issue disappeared only for a week or two. So the second time, I went back to the same store and they updated another driver from the same website and told me that if the problem occurs again, then I should check the dell website for any updates and Dell System Detect otherwise my laptop has a hardware issue. The third time exactly the same problem occurs this month and this time there are no updates available from the website and Dell System Detect doesn't do anything. I contacted Dell via Facebook and one of their solutions was to install and update a Realtek ALC3234 Audio Driver from a link they provided me. I installed this driver two or three times and still the same result. I even tried updating the Realtek High Definition Audio in my control panel and still the same result. I uninstalled this same application and my laptop won't play sound so it has to be enabled. Any suggestions please? This issue is really irritating me now. Constructive feedback much appreciated.

Audio problems on certain websites

I have a Dell desktop computer with a Dell soundbar and Logitech computer speakers and can not get one of them to play sound on certain websites.....other websites are fine.

I have downloaded the Dell Audio Driver after checking to see if I needed any drivers and I got it to work for a few minutes and now it is back to not working on soundbar or speakers.

One of the places that the audio does not work in is Daily Jigsaws at shockwave.com.

I do not have warranty so I dont think I could get tech support.

Latitude E6530 Windows 10 no "stereo mix" option for sound input device, only "high definition audio device" with Microsoft driver and unknown manufacturer.

We used to have "stereo mix" option that enabled streaming audio recording without having to have the audio playing through the speakers. How do I do that now? What replaces that capability? Who makes my sound card? Why is that not readily available somewhere in Dell land? I can't believe forum searching found pretty much nothing on this.

Bluetooth Headphones won't connect with Windows 10 on Inspiron 3521

Hello,

I'm currently experiencing an issue with my Dell Inspiron 3521. My dad and I stayed up all last night trying to get this fixed, and we had no luck.

Ever since I installed Windows 10, I cannot connect any bluetooth devices to my computer. Pairing them isn't an issue, but as soon as I go to the actions menu, and click connect to the paired device it immediately comes up with the yellow "Couldn't Connect" message. We've installed and updated all bluetooth drivers, unpaired and re-paired the devices, restarted the Bluetooth Support Service, and a bunch of other miscellaneous things that we looked up from other support forums.

Prior to installing Windows 10 (I had Windows 8.1 installed previously), the Bluetooth devices would pair and connect without a problem. So I'm starting to think that the problem is with the new update.

Slowly running out of options, can anyone please help? I'm starting to get stumped and very annoyed with Windows 10 since I've installed it.

Problems with Audio Inspiron 13 7000

Hey Guys!

So for some time now the audio on my laptop is causing lots of problems.

When it first happened the realtek (Dell Audio app & Driver) had crashed it switched to SPDIF which was terrible quality and I couldn't use any earphones.

So after a while I went online and found that I need to re-install the Realtek Audio Driver from the site for my laptop.

After I did this It was fine for some time.

Then...... (Now) Every time I plug in earphones (skullcandy) I get the popup I choose Skull candy like I always do and then when I play something from Groove Music (Default music app for Win 10) it immediately changes to the speakers.

So i tried pressing that end of laptop slightly towards the table and the popup would re-appear and when I let go it would go.

Then after a while the speakers would say no audio devices are plugged in, then I would have to install the  driver again.

This would happen over and over again.

I would have to install the driver again and again and then plug the earphones and then the story starts again.

I have installed the driver so many times, its just frustrating now...

Please help

XPS 13 9360 - Audio issues - Headphone Jack not working - Realtek MaxAudio menu comes and goes.

I’m usually terrible at doing my fair share of posting solutions on the internet but found time for this one.  Come on Dell!  My wife just bought me this great new XPS for Christmas and the headphone jack first requires me to tell the laptop that there is a headphone plugged in to work…..then the menu disappeared altogether and the headphone jack was useless.   My kid’s (2 year old) ipad seems to have no issues detecting a headphone plugged in and he laughs at daddy struggling with his new laptop.  Solution:  I gave updating and rolling back drivers provided by Dell and went to the Realtek site and downloading their drivers and installing.   (HOME > Downloads > Computer Peripheral ICs > PC Audio Codecs > High Definition Audio Codecs > Software).  I at least got the headphone jack to work again,  but will apparently just have to deal with the “MaxAudioPro” menu that appears and asks me what I just stuck into the headphone jack.  I verbally say “well MaxAudioPro, it is a headphone jack with a image of a headphone next to it,  what do you think I plugged in?”

Again,  Come on Dell.  Fairly steamed here.  ….brand new laptop,  I’m not going to return it because it was a very expensive gift, and I won't dedicate time to sit on the phone with tech support because of a home issue, and I don’t need high end stuff.  I just need the brand new laptop to work or for it to fix itself with the darn (and somewhat intrusive) “Dell System update” that should know that there is apparently drivers available that work.

Furthermore,  I understand if this is a new issue and you need a couple months to get out in front of this, but there are posts all over that discuss "realtek audio issues Dell XPS" for years now...

I have about a 25 one and off again relationship with Dell, I root for my friends in Austin to get this figured out.

Speaker pop noise - XPS 13 9360

Hello,

I've got this strange issue with my XPS 9360 that seems to have started after having the motherboard replaced a few days ago, although it could have been happening before this, I'm not 100% sure.

The right speaker is making a pop noise before and after any audio that is played. It's as if the audio driver is switching on to play the sound, then switching off immediately after the sound has finished. This behaviour also occurs in situations where there is no sound being played, such as loading webpages. In these cases the speaker pops twice/three times in succession. It's not a loud noise, but is annoying and noticeable in a quiet environment. In between the popping, sound plays fine and I haven't noticed any other noises during playback. It doesn't occur when using headphones.

I'm using the latest drivers from Dell support and the latest 1.2.3 BIOS.

System specs:

XPS 13 9360 | i7 7500u | 16gb | 512gb - Windows 10 Pro 64bit

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
