Hello,

After searching these forums, I figured out that I have a failed Sense Pin problem and found a possible solution in of the discussions.

3. Workarounds for Inspiron 17 (N7010) -- posted by

"First workaround: Regedit -> search for ForceDisableJD -> change the 00 to ff and reboot. Now I had audio out the speakers and headphones at the same time. If that works for you, this place http://schindlerweb.net/index.php/2010/01/17/no-sound-from-headphone-jack-for-realtek-audio-hd/ will set you up with a pair of scripts that will toggle this setting without rebooting. I just put both on my desktop and manually switching between headphones and speakers wasn't bad at all, just double click one of the icons.

I'm not very capable in using regedit, since I cannot even find ForceDisableJD. Could anyone possibly help me with this?

Thank you.
