I run Windows 8.1 64-bit on a Dell Inspiron 15
I seem to be having a problem with my audio jack. When I plug my headphones into the audio jack I get the notification that my headphones were plugged in as usual, however if I move the plug at all, or even bump it, I get the notification that the headphones have been unplugged. It will do this back and fourth to as if something is in the way or misfiring. I already updated my laptop with the latest audio drivers as of about 45 minutes ago and no online search is aiding me with the issue.
Looking for some recommendations on what I should do to fix this problem. From what I read the audio jack is internalized on the motherboard so if the jack is bad, I would have to replace the motherboard and I really don't want to do that just so I can listen to my music in quiet.
