Hi all
I have a Dell Studio 1735 laptop running Windows Vista 32bit, 3GB RAM.
I have an issue playing back audio from any software - it glitches / skips every 3 or 4 seconds.
Having researched this online it seems a common problem - not with hardware or drivers but with something running in the background.
I have ran DPC Latency Checker and it is peaking very high every 4-5 seconds (when the glitch occurs)
A number of solutions posted online I have tried and these have not worked for me - they include disabling devices such as the wireless adaptor, battery charging utility, graphics card in Device Manager - none of these have worked.
Another solution suggested was to disable "power management" in the IDT Audio Control Panel which I have done - and again, the problem still happens.
All of these solutions were posted online around the time I bought the laptop - 2008-2009 and I was wondering if there has been a known solution since or if Dell have sorted this issue since then?
Any help, tips, advice greatly appreciated
Many Thanks.
