Hi
My inspiron 15 3520 running windows 8, the audio has stopped working, just showing that no audio output device is installed. If I go into the device manager , and look under sound, cirrus logic high definition audio, and high definition audio device, both have yellow !, with an error showing of code "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)"
Now I tried uninstalling both through device manager, rebooting and re-detecting but same problem. I have downloaded latest drivers from Dell, same problem. If I reboot the laptop with digitally signed drivers disabled, audio works and everything is ok. Only problem is as soon as you reboot, back to square 1, no audio output device installed.
So seems to me there in an issue with dells drivers not being digitally signed or being rejected, and I do not know of any way of permanently disabling signed drivers check.
Any help appreciated.
TIA
