Hello, so as many of you might know you can only record in mono on the Inspiron 600m because of the single mono mic jack it has. So, my friends and I have been recording some of our music we play with that, and even with all the terrible noise this sound card produces, and the mono input, with cooledit, or any decent sound editor we have managed to get pretty good sounding "immitation stereo" recordings. I do want to get either a usb or pcmcia sound card eventually, but right now really on a broke a$$ student budget. So, a thought occured to me the other day and I was just hoping to get some feedback from anyone who might know than I about this. I was thinking that since the 600m has that onboard mic, would there be any way to record from that as well as hook up a second mic into the mic jack and record from that at the same time producing a stereo recording? Yeah I know that onboard mic blows, but I did some test with it and still got it to sound decent with noise reduction. So anyways, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
