Audio Port Problem

Greetings,

I am using my Inspiron 13 7000 Series Laptop. I used to hear music through the headset inserted in the audio port. 

Once I was doing this, the front edge of the headset's pin had broken and struck inside the audio port. I am unable to remove it. Thereafter, I am unable to insert/hear audio from the laptop. How can I solve this problem? I took my laptop to a service center where the service man told to replace the audio port with a new one. Is it worth?
