Latitude E6410 internal speaker audio

I have sound from the audio (headphone) jack so I know the sound card is OK. I have updated the (intel) drivers for this service tag and done Dell diagnostics but still have no solution. As a retired service tech I know HP jacks are troublesome if the make/break contacts do not make gain when the HP plug is removed, so as long as there is no so called jack "sensor" issue I suspect the HP jack is defective and not re-making speaker connection contact (for speaker sound).

Before I disassemble this beast and order the circuit board  www.parts-people.com/index.php;id=9753&utm_expid=6199460-12.xxpwtbegsmyq8qn2wwqx7q.0&utm_referrer=http%3a%2f%2fwww.parts-people.com%2fshop%2fdell-parts%2fcategory_circuit-boards%2f4%2f

I would like opinions here, with regard to how likely the HP jack actually needs to be replaced.

Anyone?

Thanks
