I can only get a very low level and muffled sound playback when I try to use my built-in microphone on the Dell inspiron laptop. I have Win 8.1 OS. I can not even get an external microphone to work with it either. I tested the built-in microphone with the sound recorder and on Skype (test call). But I only get a low level sound playback. I appreciate any help.
