How can I use my stereo mic AND the computer speakers on an XPS 13 2015

I read on these forums that a TRS stereo mic line-in won't work on an XPS 13. I don't really know what line-in mic refers to so I assume that the stereo part won't work (right?). Also, when I plug my mic, the speakers are disabled.

So my questions is how do I get my mic record in stereo, and how do I use my computer's speakers with the mic plugged AND in stereo. Would a USB external sound card work? Is there another workaound?

The mic I'm using is Olympus ME-51S Stereo Microphone

I'm also using Dell Audio.
