My problem is with my M6700 audio. The internal speaker is not working - no sound in windows. I know the speaker is good because I get sound in the BIOS diagnostic sound check. Here's what I have tried:
1. Installed every downloadable IDT High Def driver on this site, with no luck.
2. I have uninstalled, rebooted, and tried the default windows driver - no joy.
3. I uninstalled the Nvidia High Definition Audio codec and installed the newest version - no joy.
4. All functions in the audio control panel, mixer, and playback devices are good.
By this I mean there are no red x's nothing disabled, and all drivers report as "working".
Additionally, when I play sounds in the Speaker / Headphone properties advanced tab, I can see the green bar moving on the Sound window...
This tells me the drivers is trying to work...
Initially I thought it was hardware related since the headphones and HDMI work. But I get sound out of the speakers in the BIOS which leads me to believe it is a Windows issue.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
