I have a Dell Latitude E5400. It is a laptop. Originally it came with Win XP.
When Microsoft stopped its support for Win XP I upgraded to Win 7.
With Win XP I had no problem getting sound from the USB loudspeakers.
With Win 7 I have a problem. There is no sound from the loudspeakers except for a short thud when the power is connected. The same sound appeared with Win XP.
With Win 7 there is sound from the built-in loudspeakers or from my earphones.
The loudspeakers are Philips DGX320 Computer Speakers.
I have downloaded and installed the following:
Realtek High Definition Audio Codec (Windows Vista / Windows 7 / Windows 8 32-bit).
I have not found any way to configure a USB loudspeaker into Latitude E5400.
Any help to solve the above will be appreciated.
