On my recently purchased Inspiron, whenever the sound card is enabled, and the headphone jack is plugged in to the external speakers, it would first make a very annoying, and loud popping sound. I've uninstalled the RealTek drivers that came shipped with this system and it has the High Definition Audio Device (Microsoft) installed on it instead. I've noticed that after around half a minute of inactivity of the sound card (eg no music playing), the sound card is disabled temporarily. Whenever it's enabled again, I hear this popping sound. I was wondering if there's an option to enable the sound card at all times?
