Essentially what happened was that my analog microphone wasn't being detected by my Inspiron 17R anymore so I figured I might need to update my drivers. After using the system analyzer to find the drivers needed, I installed the one it pointed me towards and I restarted my laptop. After it opened up, I opened up the Sound panel and saw that it said "No audio devices installed" for both the playback tab and the recording tab.
Essentially, now the only thing that works on my laptop is the audio jack. My internal microphone doesn't work, USB headsets doesn't work, mic jack doesn't work, and USB amplifiers(Astro Mixamp) doesn't work.
Does anyone have any clues on how to fix this other than resetting settings to factory condition?
