My Dell Inspiron 14z Ultrabook with windows 8 is about a year old and I have not had any problems. However since 11 July when my system automatically updated a critical windows update my sound has not been working. When I restart the laptop it starts working again but not sure after how long (or if after connecting to internet) it stops working again. In my sounds->Recording I saw that Microphone array is selected however microphone is disconnected(it has a red mark on it). Please help.
